About Us
We're not just building software. We're on a mission.
To make league management so good, you'll actually enjoy it. (Okay, maybe "enjoy" is a stretch. But you definitely won't hate it.)
The Origin Story
Back in the early 2000s, running a sports league meant drowning in spreadsheets, endless phone calls, and driving across town just to pick up player cards before a game.
Working with the Austin Men's Soccer Association and the Austin Community Soccer Association, we started building tools to make league management suck less.
But here's the thing: every other platform was built for youth sports. Parent portals. Snack sign-ups. Coach background checks. All important stuff — for kids' leagues.
We realized adult recreational leagues needed something different. Something that treats players and captains like the responsible adults they are.
So we built Ateamo. And honestly? It's pretty great.
Our Values
What we believe (strongly)
Built by League People
We've run leagues. We've been captains. We've chased down registration fees. We get it.
Adults First
No parent portals. No snack schedules. Just tools for grown-ups who play sports.
Ruthlessly Simple
If a feature doesn't make your life easier, we don't build it. Period.
Obsessed with Winning
We want to be the best league software. Not the biggest. The best.
The Team
The people making it happen
A small but mighty crew of builders, players, and league enthusiasts.
Kevin Fricke
Founder & Head Coach
Nearly 20 years in Austin soccer. Founded Austin Athletic Club. Built Ateamo because he was tired of the spreadsheet chaos.
